Motorheads Performance was started from our love of hot-rods and our own classic cars which have
been through several restorations and upgrades. Guy
is an avid classic car enthusiast and has owned and
worked on project cars since he was 16 years old. Because we've restored our own classics, we understand
your needs. We try to provide the types of services
we wished we had when we were putting our hot-rods together.
And, we understand the need to keep costs affordable.
We want to bring affordable hot-rodding and the restoration of the classics from the 20's thru 70's to men and women throughout South Central Texas.
Our
founders...
Guy
L. Algar
Motorheads was the dream of Guy Algar, who had worked
in the mechanical
engineering field for over 25 years. He has
worked on designing projects ranging from vacuum machinery
used in gold plating ... to space simulation chambers
in use on NASA projects.
Guy has owned his 1955 2 door Belair Sedan since
he was 16. Over the years, he has built 3 engines, 2 transmissions
and upgraded carburetors, cam shafts and ignition
systems to improve her performance and power. New England cold and snow took its
toll on the '55 - she's currently needing a full
stock body restoration and is collecting all the parts to proceed with her overhaul. Guy's '55 Chevy Pickup will be restored to become one of Motorheads company trucks.
Being a mechanical engineer helps Guy understand
the mechanical workings of engines, and helps him troubleshoot
elusive problems.
Andrea
L. White
Andrea White is a management & marketing professional with over 25 years experience. She has
an avid interest in high performance street rods, learning the art of drag racing, and
enjoys dressage and western pleasure riding.
Andrea is actively involved in repairs &
restorations, as well as the office procedures.
She is currently rebuilding
the 1967 Muncie 4 speed M21 transmission for
her '56 Chevy Pickup which she is restoring to become one of Motorheads company trucks. Andrea not only runs the office but assists Guy in the day-to-day operations as a technician in the Shop.
